The 7th annual Rockin' Docs for Diabetes Cure benefit concert/fundraising event, will be held at 7:30pm on Saturday, April 1, 2017, at World Cafe Live in Philadelphia, PA, and is open to fans of all ages. XPN Afternoon Show host Dan Reed will emcee the show. Rockin’ Docs concert will feature four established bands (Chicago 9 Tribute Band, Runnin' Late, Shadow Merchant, and Rightback), each with doctors from major health care centers in the Tri-State area (Abington Hospital - Jefferson Health, Aria Health, Christiana Care Health System, Cooper University Hospital, Holy Redeemer Hospital, Princeton HealthCare System, St. Peter's Healthcare System, Spinal Health & Rehab Center, and Wills Eye Hospital), who have pledged their time for this worthy cause. General admission tickets are now on sale at World Cafe Live.

All profits generated will go to JDRF to further their mission to find a cure for type I diabetes and its complications. (Rockin' Docs raised $55,000 last year to bring our 5 year total to $175,000, with net proceeds going to JDRF). With support from JDRF, much progress has been achieved in recent years (including steps towards realization of an artificial pancreas and encapsulation of transferred islet cells), but there is still much more to accomplish on the road to finding a cure.

Rockin’ Docs was conceived and created by Kenneth Einhorn M.D, Jeremy Jaffe M.D. (himself diagnosed with type 1 diabetes over 20 years ago), and Nancy Wolfson, all of whom are parents of children with type 1 diabetes.
