The 10th annual Rockin’ Docs for Diabetes Cure benefit concert/fundraising event, will be held on Sunday, March 22, 2020, at City Winery in Philadelphia, PA, and is open to fans of all ages.
All profits generated will go to JDRF to further their mission to find a cure for type I diabetes and its complications. (Rockin’ Docs raised almost $55,000 last year to bring our 9 year total to almost $400,000, with net proceeds going to JDRF). With support from JDRF, much progress has been achieved in recent years (including steps towards realization of an artificial pancreas and encapsulation of transferred islet cells), but there is still much more to accomplish on the road to finding a cure. Rockin’ Docs was conceived and created by Kenneth Einhorn M.D, Jeremy Jaffe M.D. (himself diagnosed with type 1 diabetes over 30 years ago), and Nancy Wolfson, all of whom are parents of children with type 1 diabetes.
